Theme Thursday: Fences

We have a pretty decent sized, mostly-fenced-in backyard, and I'm really excited for Annie to start walking so she can explore it during the summer! (Although we have ticks and bears around here, so, not as much leeway for frolicking in the woods like in my own childhood, *sigh*).

Here are a couple of "fence" shots from our latest dumping of 15 inches of snow (completely gone now):

The side and backyard from the perspective of our side door.
Yes, that is our needle-less Christmas tree taking a long winter's nap next to our blueberry bushes. I heard that pine needles are good acidity for the soil for blueberries, although my husband keeps reminding me that this is a "fir" tree, and thus very different. I still have hopes that something in those needles will help. :)

Pat-a-cake to get her to smile.
I couldn't resist a picture of the baby: we just plopped her in the snow bank and shot away. Note my massive shadow to keep the setting sun out of her eyes so Michael could get a decent picture. Oh well. We have pictures of her in the massive snow of 2014 for posterity. The end.

Linking up with Clan Donaldson today, whenever she gets the linkup going!  ;)
