WIWS: Matchy-Matchy
Happy Sunday and nationally observed feast of Corpus Christi! We're recuperating from a busy Friday and Saturday of wedding festivities. The day and married couple were beautiful, and I'm so happy for my friend that she has found such a wonderful man to spend the rest of her life with! Alas, we forgot to bring our camera in all the rush to get myself, a bridesmaid, and baby out the door in time for group photos. When I find a pic of us, I'll post it :)
I didn't wear anything red today for the feast, except my usually red caves/ankles/feet due to poor circulation (the woes of being 5'12"). But Annie and I matched! (Not quite on purpose).

Hair: no effort left after a wedding weekend
Dress: Jones New York, via TJ Maxx
Shoes: Steve Madden, via...ummm, Target? maybe?
Annie's dress: Child of Mine by Carter's, via a gift from my friend Annie : )
You can't tell here, but that right shoe now sports a slightly darker tone due to Annie producing a projectile fountain of, I'm pretty sure, EVERY ounce I had just fed her, minutes before walking out the door. Said fountain drenched said shoe and accompanying foot. Mmm, delish. The joys of motherhood: who needs a pedicure when you can have a free spit-up soak right in your own living room? I'm sure it has moisturizing properties. Right???? : /
Also, TJ Maxx may be my favorite store to shop at. I know, you really have to take the time to hunt when you go, but I've found most of my favorite wardrobe staples there. Gold. mine.
Landscaping note: behold, our blossoming peonies!
Now, off to chat with some fellow mamas while our hubbies play ultimate frisbee - get ye hence to Fine Linen & Purple for some other Sunday Attire!
Love the print on this dress! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I find myself liking animal prints if they're not the "original" colors (eg, navy giraffe print, grey leopard print, etc.)
DeleteAgreed. That print is great. You look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess!
DeleteI love TJ Maxx as long as I can go there without children - otherwise, online shopping is the only way I buy anything!!!
ReplyDeleteMmm, yes, I can see how it'd be a bother with kids - I had a hard time just with Annie the last time I went (with my mom, no less, in a post-partum 'I need more nursing-friendly clothes!' shopping frenzy).
DeleteI hear ya - online shopping is a life-saver.
