So this week has been a bit nuts due to continued renovations on our basement, attending and being in the bridal party at my friend's wedding, trying to keep the concrete dust at bay, dealing with no water for 24 hours, keeping up with diaper and clothing laundry once it was restored, etc. and so forth. Oh yes, and taking care of this angel:

Sleeping babies snuggled up in blankets, esp. super-fuzzy ones.
Her cheeks are finally chubby! I'm a bit biased, but I think she could be an Anne Geddes model.

My Baby K'tan wrap. I know, I know, there are some hard-core Moby wrap and other style wearers out there, but this thing is easy-breezy-simple-to-use with awesome sauce, so I love it. A friend recommended to my mom that she get it for me, and I couldn't be happier with it. Before baby came and I could prove the K'tan's wonderfulness to the hubby with our own munchkin, this video convinced him that he'd love it just as much, if not more, as he is Mr. Efficient.

Is it OK to promote wine on a mommy blog? Oh well, be a trendsetter, I say. I'm no sommelier, and I don't usually tend towards liking red wines on their own merit - I prefer to pair them with food. This stuff tastes like Red Velvet cake, however, and kind of like chocolate, which makes me like it even more as a sipping option.

Pasta Carbonara. No, the Pioneer Woman made that, and my version is slightly different, but I'd like to try hers because it looks oh-so-delish. I think my roomies and I lived on this during our Rome semester, only we used panchetta because the Romans are deprived souls who don't have bacon. At least not readily accessible. Panchetta is pretty good too, in a different way, but it's just not bacon.

Speaking of that delicious comestible, I saw this on FB once and for some reason, it was pretty funny. Maybe you had to be there?

Love that picture of Annie!!! Oh so cute.
ReplyDeleteSinging in the Bacon; The Sound of Bacon; My Fair Bacon; You've Got Bacon. Actually, this is pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteNice! I know, at first I thought "This is killing brain cells...", but then, "Hey, this is funnier than I thought it would be!"
DeleteThat baby! Oh my goodness! What a cutie pie. Hello, scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she just? I want to eat her right up!
DeleteWhat a sweet baby! And does your husband wear the wrap?! If so, good on him! I can't convince mine to try it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And yes, he does, he's actually quite the fan and prefers to wear her than put her in the stroller when we take walks : )
DeleteOh man that baby k'tan is so weird to me! I gotta say, wrapping with a stretchy wrap is actually really simple once you're used to it - they make it look a lot more complicated in that video :P
ReplyDeleteHaha, well, I'm sure it is - I made a 2nd K'tan for when she's bigger (well, I thought it'd come out the same size as this one, but I think the fabric is stretchier so it'll work better when she gains a few more pounds); as easy as it was, I think making a Moby would be easier - one long piece of fabric! If I ever make/acquire one I'll have to have you guys give us a tutorial : )
DeleteMy husband loves the bacon thing!!!! But two movies not to do it for: Charlotte's Web and Babe.
