I love three day weekends. Mondays or Fridays added on to the so often too-short two days at the end of Michael's work week are pretty great.
This weekend we accomplished a lot on Saturday: Michael did some hard-core repairs on his car, and I finally got around to putting bird netting up around our blueberry bushes. They are starting to fruit, which makes me really excited! The former owners of this house pruned and fertilized them for us last year, so all we had to do was net them and wait for the fruity goodness. This year, I had a slight panic attack that I'd prune too much off, or they wouldn't grow at all, and we'd be sorely disappointed after last year's bounty. It looks like we'll be getting blueberries after all, though, and since we have so many birds, we have to net the bushes or else... disaster. For that is what no blueberries would be. I was much more deliberate this year and there are no corners with wadded up mounds of extra netting - we had a bird get in and somehow get stuck in there last summer. And die. Ew. My husband earned some serious brownie points that day for getting it out of there.
Anyway, on to what we wore yester..*ahem*...Sunday:
| Top: LOFT, via ThredUp Toile Skirt: thrifted; pretty sure it is handmade Earrings: repeat, Chloe & Isabel Annie's dress: passed down from my niece |
| 24 weeks! Belt: stolen from another skirt Shoes: um, online somewhere? YEARS ago.... |
Random aside: last night, after Annie's bath, I was goofing off with her hair and attempted pigtails, with the results below (sorry for the toddler-blur):
Check out the double whale-spout! And the curls in back! (which only come out when it's drying, or the day is humid - I have hopes that her hair will have ringlets one day). I may have to try this again if we do any water activities this summer.
Head over to the linkup at FL&P!

Ahhh the pigtails and the curls! She is the cutest :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that skirt! Toile is one of my absolute favorite prints - I need more of it in my life :)
