What's Going ON?

I know, I know...I'm such a fickle blogger. And somehow to get myself motivated again after a blogging slump I always feel a need to revamp my blog somehow.

This time, I definitely felt the need for a title change. The honest truth is that "One Thing is Needful" has a "deeper" feel to it, and I rarely work up the time and motivation to write profound posts. Hence, I need something that better describes what I'm doing in this little space: basically posting pictures and tidbits about our days for the benefit of friends and family (especially those we rarely get to see), with the additional bonus that it kind of serves as the baby books that I've never compiled. :)

I'll still write the occasional fashion/spirituality/hobbies kind of post, but mostly this is about our kids, our life, how we're trying to enrich their lives (or sometimes just get through the day!), etc.

Oh, and also this is kind of big news:

 Coming September 2016!

So keep coming back if you like photo dumps of my kids and want to see how we're "making memories" in this crazy, imperfect, wonderful season of our lives!

And because Rosie is hosting this week, here's a partial picture of What We Wore Sunday:

12 weeks + Christmas cookie chub = biggest bump yet; Shirt, cardigan, necklace: LOFT, Skirt: J.Jill thrifted

And yes, it's gloriously warm today and we only needed jackets for mass! Spring is coming!!!

    1. The plus side of staying home for over a month due to illness is that no one gets suspicious of your growing belly before you're ready to spread the word! ;)
And no promises, but I'll do my best - uploading pictures is a lot easier now, which was always a pain for me earlier.

    1. Aw, thanks Theresa! I'm definitely curious to see what THIS personality will be like, as these two are so different in temperament! (Melancholic girl, choleric boy...maybe we'll get a phlegmatic?!)

  8. Congratulations! I have a September baby. It was a great excuse to take it easy all summer and floating in a pool while in your third trimester is heaven. God bless!

    1. Sylvia, YES! I am SO looking forward to that - our #2 is also a September baby, but we could only go to a pool as guests that summer. This year we're actually members, and have tons of friends that go, so I'm really looking forward to play dates poolside. Even with the famous Miss Rosie herself :)

  9. Congratulations! And that is one of the cutest announcements I've ever seen!

I started blogging with the intention of posting lots of deep reflections on Scripture and stuff like that... and that happens once every couple of years! It's fun memories and cute stories the rest of the time. It's such a great way to help faraway family and friends stay current on such a busy season of life :)

    1. Thank you, Ashley! Yea, I've written a few reflection-type posts, and maybe I will again in the future, but it's honestly photo dumps and funny anecdotes for our out-of-town family to see. Hopefully I'll be more consistent this year :)
