Feast of Corpus Christi: WIWS, a homily, and Legos

Running a little behind, but here's a quick post about What We Wore this Sunday, which was the *transferred* Feast of Corpus Christi (meaning that it's been moved to Sunday from the previous Thursday). We went to an earlier mass so we could attend a social function at a winery in the afternoon (which was lovely - the perfect weather!).

Also, check out this great homily by Msgr. Charles Pope for this feast day. I'm usually just able to catch snippets of what is preached at whichever mass we attend, so I really enjoy finding posts like this to read later and help me meditate a bit more on the day.

I found this blue umbrella on Zulily, with robots on it, and I just had to get it for her. She was thrilled! She's been OBSESSED with robots since watching Wall-E (her current favorite movie - well, really the only one she's watched start-to-finish). It cracks me up how into mechanical things she is. Must be the early love of LEGO that her daddy instilled in her.

Annie: Dress is Bluberi from...Zulily? Hat from Target (totally helps her pay better attention at mass, like blinders on a horse, lol) My top and sweater are LOFT (predictably), skirt from ThredUp. Hugh's shirt is Janie and Jack, pants are Children's Place, all thrifted!

Putting our *new to us* sandbox on the porch was my best idea of the summer (pat on the back). Flat, shady, sweepable, and we can even play in it if it's not raining too hard, or just after a hard rain when the yard is soaked, but porch relatively dry.

Speaking of LEGOs...so it begins...
I can't get over how like a little boy, and not baby, Hugh looks in those polo shirts! The preppy haircut totally adds to it. All we do is shave it down on one setting, and it just grows like that!

My boys: Hugh was pretty excited that Daddy let him hold part of the LEGO set. Supervised, of course.

Stay tuned for an upcoming post containing a review of my first Stitch Fix!

Linking up with the ladies at Fine Linen & Purple wearing their Sunday best!

    1. Isn't it great? I plopped it on her head in the store and just couldn't resist, even though we'd just bought her Easter blue one at the $1 store... totally justified the extra expense for this one, in my mind ;) Good floppy hats are hard to find, best of luck in your search!

    1. Aw, thanks! I like that I can get away with them before Memorial Day and after Labor Day - my southern mama ingrained in my "no white shoes!" during those times, lol.
