7QT: Picture heavy!

The Week's have been flying by - Annie's already 8 months old! The past few weeks have involved her moving to a bigger crib in her own room, sleep training, cutting her first 2 teeth, getting ready to crawl, and introducing more solid foods to her diet. So yea, we've been busy : )

These were What We Wore Sunday from last week, I'm a little behind on these things.

I was also sporting a grey wool skirt and boots.
Those red leaves are from our blueberry bushes - aren't they lovely?

Two weeks ago I went to a baby shower and brought these fantabulous apple roses. SO super-duper easy, especially with frozen puff pastry from the box! (NOT worth it to make your own, in my opinion) I like to refer to them as glorified cinnamon rolls. The recipe only made 12, so I couldn't let Michael have any, not knowing how many ladies would be in attendance. I had leftover puff pastry and more apples, however, so I made another batch this week to pacify the man of the house. I may have snitched a few, too ;)

My trusty steed, Chai the Volvo, was retired to the Salvation Army this week. I learned to drive in this car, and it has served me well through many adventures, not the least of which included many trips to and from college, and several moves thereafter.

It needed more love than we could give, however (Volvo repairs are expensive - they'll run forever, if you can afford the upkeep), and the few that it needs are big ticket items. So, away it went, along with a decent chunk of my sentimental heart.

We're doing better with core muscles and balance, which warrants a ride on Daddy's shoulders, of course!

Her smirk: not quite a smile reserving judgment.
There's the laugh!

Fiddling with the ISO, I think? SUPERBABY!

And just when I thought the cold had driven OUT most of the stink bugs, I find this lil' critter hiding out on the top shelf in a cabinet. I dubbed it "Alice" and set it loose outside. Gross.

And now, for the necessary "child's first time playing in the leaves" shots of the year, doubling as 8-month portraits for posterity's sake:

Does this leaf make me look fat?

Alright, mom, I'm SO over this photo shoot. (That look! I'm already dreading her teens.)

I'm gradually sprucing up her room (to the neglect of more important areas like, oh, the dining room - please tell me someone else has done this), and a shelf is currently awaiting green stripes. Off I go, and perhaps I will eventually post pictures :)

Head on over to visit Jen and Co. for more reviews of the week!
